
Rainn Palmisciano (b. 1967) grew up in a small coastal New England town with a strong connection to the Atlantic ocean and her family’s old world French and Italian cooking.
Growing up near the rustic coastline of Rhode Island in South Kingstown – as a child Ms. Palmisciano developed a love of collecting eggs fresh from the barn, shucking oysters & clams, picking nutrient dense veggies from good soil ……& feeding the goats.

Rainn was invited to play in the Jr Olympics for volleyball as a young teen and then recruited nationally from 50 universities coast to coast including Stanford …..USC ….University of Wisconsin…Harvard…. etc.

While in undergraduate coursework at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, she enjoyed living towards the base of the beautiful Berkshire mountains where maple syrup freely flows from the trees not too far from precious Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow & Omega Institute. Western Massachusetts has lots of homesteaders ….is part of the New England *cheese trail*…. and is on the border of Vermont & the Green Mountain range.
At UMASS Rainn became a Varsity Letter Winner for volleyball and has continued playing the game throughout the years after connecting into the competitions in coastal California.
In her 20’s – with her love and & no jobs, an old car and a motorcycle ….she went boldy after her wild west dreams. And has never looked back now 35 years later.
Ms. Palmisciano never stopped building natural living skills she started at 17 at the Alternative Food CO-OP in Kingston Rhode Island and at the Massachusetts Cornucopia Natural Wellness Market. Though Co-oportunity in Santa Monica was her favorite Wellness Dept through end of 2023 as she met amazing health nuts and truthers that has now formed the base of her southern California community.
A dream to live and work in NYC brought Rainn to Manhattan in 1996 for what was going to be a year or 2.. It was at NYU, while working in Student Health & then Urgent care, she studied to become a ceramicist at night while being a med tech during the day.
Her first photo-transfer on bisque tiled group show was in the East Village in 1998; followed by a 2nd solo show in Brooklyn in 2000.
Deciding to stay in NYC a few years longer …. Rainn returned back to California just 4 months after 9/11 and considers this coastal hugging & big tree state her home since 1990.

Rainn settled in a southern California small town in a beautiful old canyon above the sea in 2025 and has come full circle since she originally fell in love with Topanga in 2018 making several trips from Northern until she finally laid down her roots and felt H O M E.
Ms. Palmisciano’s love of all things pure & culinary arts inspired her non toxic & nutrient dense catering & Natural Product Educator business. This is a 25 year unfolding of experience owning California Superfood Chef & also having worked as crew and managed Wellness depts with 5000 + natural products. Rainn scouts the highest vibed and clean superfood so you don’t have to. Customers can request beyond organic food sourcing, plan an indie catered wedding, or have her host your next cocktail event with mocktails from Los Angeles Kreation and her own grain free delicious bar bites.

Together her passion supports an indie catering business emphasizing re-imagined & organic cheese boards, bar bites, elixirs, mock-tails and shots with a keto friendly & raw fusion vibe. She inspires folks to try something new and maybe even crave, with her nutrient dense elixirs, a different kind of buzz.
Her experience catering started at 17 preparing New England-style Farm to Table for large formal weddings in the Newport Rhode Island mansions. She always found it a bit odd that the classic wedding plates were made up mostly of an oversized piece of Chicken Cordon Bleu or New York Sirloin with a very small portion of good fat & healthy root vegetables. Rainn was curious to strike a more macro and micro nutrient balance while still maintaining a sense of festive presentation & delicious flavor profile.
An eclectic mix of a wide variety of positions in the food industry followed including Line Cook & Sous/Solo Chef, yoga events & wellness retreats, macrobiotic restaurants & music festivals as well as spiritual, zen & permaculture centers…..

Rainn came into her niche, hospitality wise, as a clean special diet expert in both home chefing & small scale event catering as well as off grid.
Ms. Palmisciano also has experience with beyond organic families, Boys & Girls Club benefits, elders living alone, Glamp gatherings, private home batch prep, graduations, birthdays & plating anywhere from 1-500 solo or as part of a crew. Her commitment to increasing access and offerings of clean & nutrient dense “food as medicine” one bite . . . & sip at a time – is lifelong.
Rainn has been expanding her cooking experience with education at various culinary programs that focus on wine pairing, mixology, fermentation, distillery and non alcohol functional beverages.
