I love bringing the California Superfood Chef & Catering experience to small scale (under 25 people per gathering) birthdays, weddings, festivals, retreats, health freedom gatherings and whimsical off and on-grid pop-ups. The nutrient dense and local food I prepare is very similar to the late and great health pioneer Weston A. Price’s traditional nutrition. I add an animal welfare focus, beyond organic sourcing, and vegan options. Ask me how I attempt to avoid contaminated soil & water areas post disaster or fire.
I (click About page) can either stay throughout the event to ensure safe food handling as well as proper temperature service and exceptional plating presentation or leave 1 hour prior with beautifully prepared food that you yourself can serve to your guests.
Depending on availability, I cater onsite within Santa Monica / Malibu / Topanga / Agoura Hills / Calabasas / Santa Barbara / Big Sur & the coastal region along the Santa Monica, Los Padres & Santa Cruz mountain ranges. Please inquire about off-grid, festival, and vender options where I may be able to serve.
From casual beach birthday parties to indoor & outdoor elegant small weddings to business meetings and more, I charge the amount you see at the bottom of the menus page for the food or drinks you select. Simply tell me how many you want to order. I am a small indie and only source impeccable ingredients ….. so I don’t offer wholesale and larger group discounts.
Rather than an estimate …I can help you understand the “out the door cost” then add my hourly labor from time I start shopping/sourcing event day at Farmers Market until I leave. This is in departure from “per head” catering pricing as I have crystal clear itemized food and labor break down. Fifty percent down payment is required to secure the date for my services and the balance will due paid in full on gathering day when I arrive.
If I bring staff with me, understandably, the labor cost increases.
I exclusively offer the food and drinks on my menu page (click here for menus) with seasonal and non-dairy adaptations; excluding wedding cakes, champagne toast and additional liquor supplies. My customers usually coordinate that themselves or hire bakery etc to help. I do not offer food or drinks outside these 3 diversified menus with aim to please each one of your gathering’s guests who may even have nutrition restrictions or unique eating habits.
For 15 to 25 guests – I automatically bring, 1 server as well as a waiter assistant as my crew. I am the only one who personally shops for you & develops then flavor profile. First by procuring fresh right before event, at Farmers Markets and local health food stores where these specialty products can be found.
Then blending seasoning and preparing onsite to stay within strict food and handling protocol. And so you can ask questions or bring up concerns in real time. I (or we) are dressed in all black with professional attire and beautiful aprons.
